Investors Repaid in EB5 Capital’s 7th and 8th Projects, Completing Their EB-5 Investment Cycle

Washington, DC – EB5 Capital announced today it has fully repaid eligible investors in its 7th and 8th projects, successfully completing their EB-5 investment process. The full investment amount has been returned to investors as they have completed their conditional residency period and applied for permanent resident status in the United States.

“The return of the full investment amount represents a strong and informed EB-5 investment decision on the part of our clients. We’re honored they would choose to make such an important investment with us,” said Angelique Brunner, EB5 Capital’s President.

Investors initially invested $500,000 into EB5 Capital’s Kensington Place of Redwood City or Riverfront at the Navy Yard/Dock 79 partnerships. Given the success of each project, the sponsors repaid the partnerships early. To meet the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services’ “at-risk” requirement, each partnership reinvested their funds into another EB5 Capital project. As these funds were returned, eligible investors received the return of their $500,000 investment.

EB5 Capital’s Investment in DC Hilton Hotels Project Repaid in Full by Baywood Hotels

Washington, DC – EB5 Capital announced today its $39 million loan in its DC Hilton Hotels project has been repaid in full by its developer, Baywood Hotels.

“The full repayment of an EB-5 investment by a developer is an important moment in our business cycle,” said Brian Ostar, EB5 Capital’s Senior Vice President of Global Operations. “The return of funds reaffirms our investment due diligence process and reflects well on our team’s ability to identify viable EB-5 investment opportunities for our clients.”

The dual-branded Hilton hotel complex is a 120-room Hampton Inn and a 114-suite Homewood Suites and opened for business in August 2016. Both hotels have consistently increased their market share in the very competitive Washington, DC hotel market. The project has fully satisfied the EB-5 program requirements by creating enough qualifying jobs for 78 investors who are now receiving their I-829 petition approvals.

EB5 Capital’s Highline Union Market Project Receives I-526 Approvals

Washington, DC – EB5 Capital announced today that multiple I-526 approvals have been received by investors in its project, Highline Union Market, in Washington, DC.

“Achieving I-526 approvals is extremely rewarding for our investors,” said Gustavo Marchesini, Investor Relations Manager. “We are thrilled to continue to see our EB-5 projects receive I-526 petition approvals.”

Highline Union Market is a $27.5 million preferred equity investment in Level 2 Development, FCP, and Clark Enterprises’ construction of a 318-unit luxury apartment building with approximately 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The Highline is one of five EB5 Capital projects in the immediate vicinity located in the growing NoMa/Union Market neighborhoods of Washington, DC. The project will provide necessary housing for the fastest-developing section of the District and is expected to create more than 760 EB-5 qualifying jobs.
