Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious, well-rounded real estate finance professional to join our
dynamic growing group. This position is responsible for underwriting and performing
due diligence on commercial real estate investment opportunities. Independence and
teamwork are both highly valued. He or she will report to a manager and work closely
with the whole Investments team, as well as with team members in other departments.
Top candidates will be highly motivated and well-organized problem solvers. They
will be process-oriented and possess the focus to maintain structure in a fast-paced
environment. A keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality and consistency, and
excellent communication skills are paramount.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Track development pipeline, underwrite, and perform due diligence on potential
commercial real estate investment opportunities - Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda, private placement
offering materials and joint venture operating agreements - Assist in the closing of investments interfacing with legal counsel, the developer,
and the construction lender - Review the construction progress of the assets to ensure projects are completed on time
within budget and manage monthly investment draw request process - Review, benchmark, and analyze asset-level financial data and keep informed of
the dynamics of each investment market area to develop a strong understanding of
the investments and their respective markets - Prepare regularly recurring updates and reports on the status of investments for
internal use, senior management, and investor distribution - Review, understand, and ensure compliance with legal agreements for each
investment - Potential for annual travel to the properties to inspect the properties, meet with
management, and tour the market areas and competitive set of assets
Qualifications, Education, and Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required
- Commercial real estate experience preferred
- Familiarity with Costar and REIS is preferred
- MS Office experience and advanced Excel skills required
- Strong writing and communication skills required
